(Davenport, IA) -- A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect from 4 AM to 1 PM Saturday, March 25th. Forecasters with the National Weather Service-Quad Cities say the area could get between 3-6 inches of heavy wet snow. Slush covered roads and reduced visibility will be expected.
The advisory is for portions of northwest Illinois and east central Iowa.
Counties under the advisory include: Jackson, Clinton, and Scott counties in Iowa, Jo Daviess, Stephenson, Carroll, Whiteside, Rock Island, Bureau, Mercer, Lee, DeKalb, and Kane counties in Illinois.
Parts of north central Illinois will be under a Winter Storm Warning overnight. The NWS says some areas of north central Illinois and southern Wisconsin could get 6-10 inches of snow.
