(Des Moines, IA) -- It’s the final week to get a 2023 City of Des Moines pet license without incurring a $50 late fee.
All cats and dogs over six months are required to have a license. The licenses are $15 for cats and dogs that are spayed or neutered and $35 if they’re not. The city offers special rates for residents over 65.
Applications are available online and in person at the City Clerk’s Office. To avoid the late fee, applications must be postmarked by Friday, March 31.
