(Story County, IA) -- The Story County Sheriff's Office says there were no serious in a crash on Highway 30 late this (Wednesday) morning just east of I-35 involving a DOT truck and a Lowes delivery truck. The Sheriff's Office says the driver of the Lowe's truck fell asleep and veered in the first of several DOT trucks in the area for maintenance work. The driver of the DOT was able to take evasive action, which investigators say likely reduced the severity of the collision. The Lowe's truck was heavily damaged and towed from the scene. The DOT truck only had minor damage. The collision forced the highway to be closed for about 90-minutes.

The Story County Sheriff's Office say Highway 30 is undergoing a lot of maintenance work this spring and they're urging drivers to use extra caution.
