(Johnston, IA) -- The Johnston-Grimes Metropolitan Fire Department will conduct a controlled burn Thursday.
The training exercise will be held at 5229 Merle Hay Road from 8am-4pm Thursday. The home used for the exercise will be burned down following the training drill. Smoke may be visible along Merle Hay Road or from Interstate 80/35. The fire will be controlled throughout the training exercise.
