(Rock Island, IL) -- The Rock Island Fire Department is adding three new fire investigators.
FF Brennan Kennedy, FF Paramedic Anthony Schooley, and FF Joel Wilford were certified as fire investigators after a 120-hour training process over eight weekends.
The new investigators will help figure out the causes of fires in Rock Island in addition to their regular duties as firemen and paramedics.
The department now has 10 fire investigators.
