(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Cedar Rapids residents may be seeing some smoke this weekend from controlled burns in the area.
The Cedar Rapids Fire Department and Parks and Recreation Department will conduct a controlled burn in the prairie areas of the McGrath Amphitheatre Sunday morning.
Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation says the burns are a tool for prairie management and health, benefitting ecosystems, and controlling invasive species.
