(Coralville, IA) -- The National Weather Service is confirming 11 tornadoes in Iowa during Friday's storm system.
Eastern Iowa saw most of what the NWS is calling a tornado outbreak with the strongest one hitting Keokuk, Washington, and Johnson counties with an EF-4 tornado.
Eleven injuries were reported across the 10 tornadoes.
Three more tornadoes were confirmed in western Illinois near the Quad Cities
The NWS will be conducting storm surveys over the next week.
Cedar, Clinton, Jackson, Jo Daviess, Johnson, Washington, Keokuk, Des Moines, Linn, and Henry Counties in Iowa and Illinois all reported tornadoes.
