(Undated) -- Iowa is one of the most financially literate states in America. The latest study from WalletHub ranks Iowa as the 6th-most financially literate state in the U.S. and the 3rd-most financially literate state in the Midwest behind Nebraska and Minnesota. Iowa ranks in the top 10 in several individual categories including percent of adults that spend more money than they earn, percent of adults paying only the minimum on their credit cards, and its high school financial literacy grade. WalletHub says the most financially literate state is Nebraska and the least financially literate state is Arkansas. A full list of states is available here.
