(Bennington, NE) -- The cause of a two-alarm house fire in Bennington remains under investigation. Multiple Omaha metro fire departments responded to the home near 172nd and Ida, north of Flanagan Lake on Friday afternoon.
Firefighters say multiple explosions during the fire were likely caused by gas or propane tanks in the garage area.
No injuries were reported. The home and garage sustained extensive damage. A GoFundMe set up for the family says:
"They had just recently moved into their perfect home when it was destroyed in a devastating fire. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured but they are left with almost nothing salvageable. If you are able, please help as they now have to rebuild their lives."
