(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The Willie Ray's Q Shack team is headed back to Iowa today after serving meals in Mississippi to those affected by the tornadoes.

The group says they served about 1,600 free meals Thursday and Friday and hopes to have served at least 1,000 more Saturday and Sunday.

Willie Fairley, the owner of Willie Ray's Q Shack in Cedar Rapids, has been going to disaster zones to serve free meals since the 2020 derecho in Iowa.

An EF-4 tornado hit the town of Rolling Fork, Mississippi in March.

Fairley is originally from the state of Mississippi.
