(Valparaiso, NE) -- One person is killed in a weekend fire in Saunders County.
The State Fire Marshal's Office says just before 9:00 Saturday night, the Valparaiso Fire Department was called to a fire at a trailer home. Investigators say one person was found dead in the trailer home. The Saunders County Attorney has ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending identification and the notification of next of kin.
A dog was also found deceased in the trailer home, which is considered a total loss. The fire investigation is ongoing by State Fire Marshal Investigators. Responding fire agencies included Valparaiso Fire Department, Ceresco Fire Department, and Raymond Fire Department.
