(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Parts of 1st Avenue will be closed to traffic Tuesday in Cedar Rapids.
The 1st Avenue East Floodgate ribbon cutting and federal funding announcement from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Rock Island District will close 1st Avenue between 3rd Street W and 1st Street E until 2pm Tuesday. Detours are posted for drivers in that area.
