(Grimes, IA) -- The city of Grimes receives a $1,000 grant from MidAmerican Energy ahead of this year's Arbor Day event.
The funds from MidAmerican's Tree Please Program will be used to buy trees to plant at the event, scheduled for April 29th. The tree planting will take place from 9am-11am on April 29th near the new Grimesplex site. The city says in the event of rain, the event will be rescheduled for May 6th.
