Omaha Fire tells KFAB Radio News a firefighter, who was injured at a fire scene, remained in a hospital overnight for observation.
Investigators say the house fire is accidental in nature, caused by discarded smoking materials.
The fire late Wednesday afternoon was near 65th and Grant Streets and took about 20 minutes to bring under control.
Arriving firefighters reported heavy fire at the rear of the place, and the fire had spread from the exterior into the roof and interior.
