(Davenport, IA) -- The Government Bridge in Davenport is set to reopen today after a piece of the old I-74 bridge fell from a truck and damaged it.
The Iowa DOT determined operations could resume after assessing the Government Bridge for damage.
The bridge was damaged after a chunk of the old I-74 bridge fell off a truck on River Drive Tuesday.
The Iowa DOT says it'll repair bridge damage in the fall.
