(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Almost 100 veterans are heading to Washington D.C. today.
The Eastern Iowa Honor Flight takes Iowa veterans to see national monuments and memorials built in honor of their service in D.C.
The nonprofit is inviting residents to welcome home the veterans tonight around 8:30 at the Eastern Iowa Airport.
This is the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight's 46th trip since 2009 to Washington D.C.
