The Holland Foundation announces a permanently endowed scholarship fund to provide financial assistance to students in the College of Communication, Fine Arts, and Media at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
The Richard Holland Endowed Scholarship Fund is the largest scholarship fund ever created to support students in those areas of study at UNO.
The Holland Foundation made a $250,000 gift to the University of Nebraska Foundation, which was matched to establish a $500,000 scholarship fund in memory of philanthropist and alumnus Dick Holland.
Dick Holland graduated from the University of Omaha, as it was then known, with a degree in art and was on the staff of "The Gateway" student newspaper before going onto an adverstising career in Omaha.
Having played critical roles in changing the face of the UNO campus, Dick and Mary Holland’s legacy continues through the foundation named after them.
