(Lincoln, NE) -- More than 82,000 people will descend on Memorial Stadium in August for the now sold-out Volleyball Day.
On Thursday, University of Nebraska Athletics Director Trev Alberts announced that the August 30th event is sold out, just days after tickets went on sale. Nebraska Athletics says they've sold 82,900 tickets since they went on sale on Tuesday. That number doesn't include field-level or indoor club seating.
On August 30th, UNL will host the University of Nebraska-Omaha volleyball team at 7:00 PM. Before the Huskers and Mavericks play, Wayne State will play Nebraska-Kearney at 4:30 that afternoon. The sellout is more than four times the current NCAA Volleyball record, which was set at 18,755 when Nebraska played Wisconsin in the NCAA Championship in December 2021.
