Men Facing Charges After Des Moines Post Prom Shooting

(Des Moines, IA) -- Three people are facing charges in a post-prom shooting in Des Moines last year. Police were called to a home south of Grand Avenue on May 8th after a shooting that injured three teens. Two men are facing charges stemming from the shooting. The homeowner who hosted the party has been cited for violating a city ordinance.

Des Moines Police say 20-year-old Jaren Rhoden of Des Moines has been charged with Intimidation With A Dangerous Weapon. Police say he remains at large. Rhoden also has active arrest warrants for unrelated crimes. Anyone with information about Rhoden's whereabouts is asked to call Des Moines Police Department detectives at 515-237-1579. Police also say 19-year-old Des Moines resident Terrance Johnson-Rawls has been charged with Intimidation With A Dangerous Weapon. Johnson-Rawls is currently in custody after his recent conviction on an unrelated weapons offense.

53-year-old Des Moines resident Jeffery Stickel has been charged with Disorderly House– Des Moines Municipal Ordinance Violation. Detectives learned that Stickel hosted the post-prom party, and persons under the legal age who were drinking alcohol had brought it to the party to consume there. Stickel was cited and released.
