Lincoln woman arrested for DUI, bites corrections officer in the face

(Lincoln, NE) -- A Lincoln woman arrested for drunk driving bites the face of a Corrections Officer.

Lincoln Police say just before 2:30 Saturday morning, officers spotted a vehicle stopped in traffic near 14th & O Street with its hazard lights flashing. LPD says when officers attempted to make contact with the person in the vehicle, they sped away, nearly hitting an officer that was in the street. Police say the vehicle was eventually stopped near 13th & N Street but the driver, 22 year old Fiona Walker, refused to get out of the vehicle. Investigators say Walker appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. She was eventually removed from the vehicle by additional officers.

LPD says Walker refused the breath test and was transported to jail., where she was was cited for DUI with prior conviction, Refusal of Chemical Test, Willful Reckless Driving, and Resist Arrest. Police say once at the jail, Walker refused to exit the cruiser and Corrections Officers assisted in removing her from the car. While attempting to get Walker out of the cruiser, LPD says Walker bit a Corrections Officer on the face near the jaw line. Investigators say Walker held the bite for about 4 seconds, leaving an obvious bite impression of the officer’s face. Walker was additionally charged for Assault on an Officer.
