Omaha area beekeepers and experts say a contagious disease is fatally contaminating beehives.
Omaha beekeeper Mark Welsch says he had to destroy about 50,000 bees this weekend because of the disease called "American foulbrood."
Experts say the disease is caused by bacteria created through cross-contamination.
