(Nebraska) -- U.S. News and World Report ranks Nebraska among the top five states in nation in its new 2023 national study.
Nebraska ranks 4th overall in the the latest edition of the Best States Project, which examines how all 50 states serve their residents. The study uses more than 70 metrics across 8 categories including crime and correction, economy, education, fiscal stability, healthcare, infrastructure, natural environment, and opportunity.
The top ten best states according to the study include:
- Utah
- Washington
- Idaho
- Nebraska
- Minnesota
- New Hampshire
- Iowa
- Wisconsin
- Vermont
- Florida
The state ranking at the bottom of the list in 2023 is Louisiana. The full survey is available at the U.S. News and World Report website.
