The Omaha Metro takes center stage in the financial world this weekend with the annual Berkshire Hathaway shareholders meeting at the CHI Health Center, with activities going on all over the city today through Sunday.
"When we start to hear different languages from all over the world at our visitors' center, we know Berkshire is in town and that the tourism season has officially begun," says Deb Ward of "Visit Omaha."
Ward tells KFAB Radio News they do not take the large event for granted after it shifted into a remote event for a couple of years because of Covid.
Warren Buffett, the Chairman and CEO of the company based here in his hometown, and Vice Chair Charlie Munger are featured on Saturday during the actual meeting.
Meantime, a steady flow of stockholders is going by for selfies in front of Buffett's well-known house in midtown Omaha.
