(Omaha, NE) -- Omaha police are investigating the in-custody death of a woman who jumped from the ninth floor of an apartment over the weekend.
Police say 31-year-old Samisha Wakefield was trespassing in the Jackson Tower apartment building on Saturday morning. Police and Omaha Housing Authority security say they found Wakefield in a bedroom, where they tried to confront her. Police say, within five seconds, she jumped out of a window to her death.
The incident was captured on body cameras. The Omaha Police Department's Officer Involved Investigations Team says the footage was reviewed, and aligns with statements from officers and witnesses.
The case will be reviewed by a grand jury.
