(Davenport, IA) -- Receding floodwater reveals a sinkhole along River Drive in Davenport.
Public Works Director Nicole Gleason tells WQAD News 8 that staff noticed the sinkhole earlier this week, but they weren’t able to take action due to current flooding.
The Iowa Department of Transportation has been notified and will begin repairs once the area is cleared.
River Drive near Brady Street will remain closed until then.
