(Grimes, IA) -- The city of Grimes is reminding residents about city ordinances regarding mowing, grass clippings, and lawn care.
The city says grass or weeds are not allowed to grow taller than 12 inches, and residents are reminded not to blow grass clippings into the street. The city says those clippings can build up and cause problems in the city's waterways and storm drains.
