(Des Moines, IA) -- Law enforcement in Iowa is taking part in the National Highway Safety Administration's national Click It or Ticket campaign.
The Governor's Traffic Safety Bureau says the national seat belt campaign will take place over the Memorial Day weekend from May 22 to June 4.
They say as of 2022, 55% of traffic deaths in the state were unbelted or unknown and that number is already up to 60% in 2023.
