(York, NE) -- The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 11 year old Nebraska girl.
Investigators say Mercedes American Horse has been missing for over a week, after disappearing from home in York, Nebraska, on Monday May 8th. Authorities say that Mercedes was last seen wearing a long black sleeve shirt, black shorts, white shoes, and carrying a pink backpack. Mercedes is described as 5’0”and weighs 104 lbs. She is American Indian and has brown hair and brown eyes.
NCMEC is asking anyone with additional information on her whereabouts to come forward to help bring her home. Anyone with information about Mercedes or her disappearance, is asked to contact NCMEC at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678) or the York Police Department (Nebraska) at 1-402-363-2640.
