The Omaha Police Department urges drivers to buckle up as OPD joins the long list of law enforcement agencies locally and nationally running special enforcements with the Memorial Day Holiday weekend approaching.
As schools dismiss and students graduate, Memorial Day is seen as the unofficial start of the American Summer travel season.
Omaha Police are working with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration during the high visibility national "Click It Or Ticket" enforcement effort.
The national seat belt campaign runs through June 4th, coinciding with the Memorial Day Holiday.
Law enforcement agencies across Iowa are also taking part in the "Click It or Ticket" campaign.
