(Ankeny, IA) -- The Ankeny Police Department is hosting a community picnic this afternoon at Police Headquarters.
Residents will be able to meet police officers, see the police department's 1964 police car, tour a Crime Scene Investigation van, see a Life Flight helicopter land on the grounds, and more. The first 1,000 people in attendance will get a free meal from Chick Fil-A. The community picnic runs from 4pm-7pm at Ankeny Police Headquarters as part of National Police Week.
