There are no injuries reported after small planes run into trouble at airports in Ankeny and Iowa City.
Late Saturday morning, firefighters went to the Ankeny Regional Airport on a report of an airplane crash.
Initial reports indicated that a small airplane started on fire shortly after landing.
Once on scene, the Ankeny Fire Department was able to quickly put out the fire.
The fire department says the pilot and passenger escaped with no injuries.
Also Saturday morning, a small airplane overran the runway at the Iowa City airport.
The plane went through the outer fence, but no injuries are reported.
