That's according to WalletHub, which ranks Davenport the 7th-most affordable small city and the 14th-most affordable city overall. WalletHub says it uses 10 key metrics to make its rankings including tax rates and home costs. Davenport is the highest ranked city in Iowa and the second-highest ranked city in the U.S. behind Springfield, Illinois, which ranks 9th overall.
