(Johnston, IA) -- Investigators are now looking into the widespread reports of bomb threats called into Hy-Vee grocery stores this week.
Store managers confirmed at least two Hy-Vee locations in Johnston and Ames received the threats by phone Monday night.
Social media posts indicate there was also an evacuation ordered at the Crossroads Hy-Vee location in Waterloo, Iowa, among others.
Similar reports have come in from Hy-Vee managers in Minnesota and South Dakota.
In statements issued to local media, the grocery store chain said the activity is happening across the industry and nation.
