(Springfield, IL) -- The Illinois General Assembly and Governor J.B. Pritzker have come to an agreement on the Fiscal Year 2024 Budget.
The budget is about $50-billion and invests in public safety, workforce development, early childhood and higher education, and mental health services.
This is the fifth budget agreement since Pritzker became governor.
Now he needs to sign the plan before the fiscal year begins on July 1.
