(Davenport, IA) -- One person is dead and dozens of cows are loose after a crash in Davenport.
Crews responded early Friday morning to the I-80 westbound ramp to I-74 eastbound.
Police say after investigating they found a livestock trailer lost control resulting in about 40 head of cattle being on the loose in the area.
The driver of the trailer died from his injuries.
Police say two more crashes happened after the first where a car and a semi both hit two of the cows. Multiple agencies are working to retrieve the livestock.
