Mount Vernon Marching Band Performs In National Memorial Day Parade

(Washington, D.C.) -- An Eastern Iowa high school marching band performed in the nation's largest Memorial Day parade.

The Mount Vernon Marching Mustangs played in Washington, D.C. Monday.

The American Veterans Center brought back the parade along Constitution Avenue in 2005.

The group of Mount Vernon high schoolers also went to the National Memorial Day Concert on the west lawn of the U.S. Capitol.
