(Des Moines, IA) -- A newer tradition continues in Des Moines, with the Pride Flag flying outside city hall -- and it will remain through the entire month.
Des Moines' Chief Equity Officer Manisha Paudel explains there are more than just the rainbow colors for the LGBTQ community.
She says the brown stripe stands for people of color.
The black stripe -- meant to commemorate those who suffered from HIV/AIDS.
