Investigators say careless disposal of smoking materials accidentally caused a fire in an Omaha apartment complex.
The fire Monday was near 78th and Farnam, and it was quickly contained.
Arriving firefighters reported smoke and fire coming from the exterior of the second story and called for a second alarm.
They say most of the fire damage was contained to one unit and the roof area directly above.
One adult was displaced, and the fire department says no injuries were reported.
