The Iowa women's basketball team will play Virginia Tech on November 9th. The game will be at a neutral site, at the Ally Tipoff in Charlotte, North Carolina, and will air on ESPN. Both the Hawkeyes and the Hokies made it to the Final Four of the women's N-C-double-A tourney.
Virginia Tech lost to LSU in the national semifinal 79-72, and Iowa lost to LSU in the National Championship Game 102-85.
Both teams could be ranked in the top ten early in the year.
"We are excited to take our team to Charlotte this November and play a quality team such as Virginia Tech, who joined us in the Final Four last season," Iowa women’s basketball coach Lisa Bluder said. "This will be another great opportunity to showcase our sport on the national stage and create exposure for our university."
