Federal Help Available for People Affected by Davenport Building Collapse

DES MOINES, Iowa -- There's now federal help available for those affected by the last month's partial collapse of a Davenport apartment building.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds says the U.S. Small Business Administration will give low-interest disaster loans for residents and businesses.

Reynolds' office says says most Scott County homeowners, renters, businesses, and nonprofit organizations whose property was damaged or destroyed will be able to apply for low-interest SBA disaster loans .

Residents, businesses, and nonprofit organizations in Cedar, Clinton, and Muscatine counties whose property was damaged or destroyed may also be eligible for SBA assistance.
