Omaha Woman Accused Of Shooting Two People Gets $2-Million Bond

(Omaha, NE) -- An Omaha woman accused of shooting two people this week is being held on $2-million bond. Sixty-two-year-old Deborah McCants appeared in court this morning on 1st-degree assault, use of a firearm to commit a felony, and shooting a gun near a building. Police say she shot a 21-year-old and a 26-year-old near King Science and Technology Middle School in North Omaha late Wednesday night. Both victims survived the shooting. Police say McCants shot one of the victims during a disturbance, then shot the other when they confronted her.
