(Iowa) -- A new study identifies the most dangerous hour to drive in Iowa.
A national study from Forbes Advisor analyzed five years of data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to determine the most dangerous time to be on the roads in each state, and in Iowa, that's 5pm-6pm. Between 2016 and 2020, there were 93 deaths on Iowa roads during that hour. The study also that during that time, the most dangerous day to be on the roads in Iowa was Saturday, with 327 fatalities. The most deadly month on Iowa roadways during that time period was September with 200 deaths.
Nationally, the study found the most dangerous hour to drive is 6pm to 7pm.
