The Nebraska Department of Transportation reminds motorists to exercise patience when traveling to and from the College World Series in North Downtown Omaha.
NDOT will pause construction activities within the Omaha metro during the event, allowing regular routes to and from the tournament to remain open.
Given the anticipated high volume of traffic, NDOT also recommends alternative routes.
Omaha Police, in partnership with NDOT, will direct motorists to take the following recommended routes to the game:
• For drivers arriving in Omaha on I-80 from the west: Take Interstate 80 eastbound to I-480 northbound, exiting on Leavenworth Street (Exit 1B) or Harney Street (Exit 2A), then use city streets to get to parking near Charles Schwab Field Omaha.
• For drivers arriving in Omaha from the east: Use I-80 westbound and exit on 13th Street (Exit 454), near the zoo, then use city streets to the ballpark.
After each game, exiting traffic will be directed to 13th Street or Cuming Street to relieve congestion.
