(Lincoln, NE) -- The Nebraska Board of Regents unanimously appoints the next chancellor of University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Rodney Bennett will become the school's 21st chancellor, replacing the retiring Chancellor Ronnie Green. Bennett has been the chancellor of the University of Southern Mississippi for the last ten years and becomes the first person of color to become the chancellor of UNL. Green retires at the end of the month and Bennett will take over July 1st.
