(Lincoln, NE) -- U.S. Senator Deb Fischer of Nebraska is running for reelection. The Republican officially announced her 2024 campaign this morning at the state capitol in Lincoln. If reelected it would be Fischer's third term in the U.S. Senate. Right now there is no official Democratic candidate to run against her. Both Fischer and former Governor Pete Ricketts will be on the ballot for U.S. Senate in Nebraska next year. If Ricketts wins he'll get to serve out the rest of former Senator Ben Sasse's term then be forced to run for reelection in 2026.
