(Ankeny, IA) -- The Ankeny Police Department says it will conduct a special traffic safety awareness project on Friday, June 30th.
The project will be in conjunction with the Central Iowa Traffic Safety Task Force and the Iowa Governor's Traffic Safety Bureau. Officers will be focused on enforcing traffic laws and looking for speeding violations, impaired driving, and other traffic violations.
The Ankeny Police Department is reminding drivers to drive sober, wear a seatbelt, and to not use their phones while driving.
