Iowa Drought Deepens

(Undated) -- This week's U-S Drought Monitor shows Iowa slipping deeper into drought. Nearly all of Iowa is either abnormally dry or in some form of drought. Three areas are in extreme drought, in southeast Iowa, northwest Iowa near Sioux City and southwest Iowa, near Council Bluffs. The only spot that's not in drought is Iowa's Great Lakes region, near the Minnesota border. Today's report does not include recent rainfall.
