(Scott Co., IA) -- An archery deer hunt is being authorized at Scott County Park. Earlier this month the Scott County Conservation Board decided it will select 15 hunters to get 30 antlerless deer licenses. The conservation board says the goal is to help balance the deer population in the park. Applications can be found online at scottcountyiowa.gov and must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on July 31st. Winners will be announced the first week of August. The hunt will then run from from October 1st, 2023 through January 10th, 2024.
