(Undated) -- Land value in Nebraska is at a record-high. University of Nebraska's Farm Real Estate report says the average price for an acre of agriculture land is up about 14% this year to $3,835, an increase of $475 per acre. This marks the fourth-straight year ag land prices have gone up in Nebraska. The report says the biggest land value increases are in the northeast, east, and southeast districts where increases range from 15%-17%. Western regions of Nebraska like the northwest, north, central, southwest, and south districts had smaller increases on average between 10%-13%.Crop prices, purchases for farm expansion, and non-farmer investor interest in land purchases are all considered reasons for the increase in land value.
