(Des Moines, IA) -- A federal judge has ruled in favor of an Iowa carbon capture pipeline developer who challenged new local ordinances restricting them.
Summit Carbon Solutions won an injunction against Shelby County's new ordinance.
It prohibits the pipelines near population centers, livestock operations or electric infrastructure.
According to the Des Moines Register, Chief Judge Stephanie Rose on Monday ruled that Iowa law doesn't precisely allow for local ordinances against those pipelines.
